Child Care in Albuquerque
There are more than 130 licensed child care providers in the greater Albuquerque area providing excellent care and supervision for children from six weeks to twelve years of age. The Child Care Licensing Board, a division of the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department, is responsible for licensing child care centers and day care homes. The YWCA operates Carino, a resource and referral service to help parents find and evaluate prospective child care providers. For information call (505)265-8500. Parents can also choose from several preschool programs offered throughout the city, as well as private and church affiliated providers.
